The 26th Annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic is on this weekend at Assiniboine Park. I was proud to have the opportunity to design the marketing materials for this treasured event organized by the Children’s Hospital Foundation. My mom used to sew up well-loved teddy bears for many years in the B*A*S*H Tent (now called the Dr. Goodbear Clinic) and I have taken my own kids (rain or shine!) for a number of years now. My daughter and my own teddy bear made for wonderful models. I found the most whimsical and inviting font possible and chose her gingham dress that to me has “picnic” written all over it.
